Kingston Technology’s EMEA Marketing Team came to OST with a dilemma: they needed to rapidly raise awareness of their A400 SSD, a super-fast hard drive, across 6 European countries and in 6 languages. They also had a limited budget. What to do?
OST devised a campaign concept which highlighted the speed of the product in a fun way. We asked 11 European influencers to provide us with short videos of their top time-saving tech tips, or #TimeHacks. We then worked with them to promote their videos to technology users across the continent.
The campaign focused on YouTube and Instagram with a supporting competition on Facebook, all promoted via targeted social advertising. OST’s local-language community managers in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Poland helped Kingston to manage the hue spike in engagement during the campaign.
Over the six weeks of the campaign, our influencers created 22 videos on YouTube and Instagram, which we amplified on Kingston’s social channels, including Facebook. The campaign reached over 2 million people, generated nearly 60,000 engagements and 750,00 video views, driving a significant increase in product awareness and sales.
